The Metal Flake MD5 is back, baby!
The very first release we made with our reinvented MD5 mold was the Prototype Metal Flake C-line run for the 2023 European Open. While honestly every MD5 we've made to date has been nothing short of great, those very first ones have earned a special status as the favorite MD5 for many.

About this particular run
Flight-wise, you can expect the kind of uncompromising control that's characteristic to all of our current production MD5's. These MF MD5's fly consistently overstable with just a bit of high speed glide that adds range to your midrange game.
The profile on these is very similar to the 2023 Prototype run, with the exception of maybe just a hair more dome on certain colors (white in particular, though exceptions are possible - we haven't done 1:1 comparisons on each and every disc from this batch). Don't read that as these would be domey, though - That's by no means the case. Pretty much all MD5's have a very flat flight plate, these even moreso than some others, but there can be some very minimal differences in the overall roundness of the top of the shoulder / flight plate shape while still fitting to the definition of flat.
Feel-wise, you can expect the highly ergonomic, beadless and buttery feel you find on most MD5's that allows a smooth release every time, no matter how you prefer to grip the disc. Stiffness is on par with the 2023 run and despite being ultra durable, the grip feels sturdy and natural - Like an extension of your arm.

This product represents the reinvented, beadless version of the MD5. We like to think this mold is among the very best we've produced in Europe to date. Compared to the beaded MD5's made during the time of our US-based production, these discs have a more ergonomic feel, generally a flatter profile and a longer range. They still pack tons of overstability, but the fade is more forward-pushing than dumpy, which make this disc for a more versatile choice than ever.
The MD5 is a great foundation to build your approach game, as its dependable overstable flight ensures it's the one disc you'll reach for over and over again in various situations.
Good for: Overstable approach shots, flex shots, sidearm shots, advanced and pro players alike.
